Drink lots of clear liquids (i.e., ginger ale, tea, Gatorade)
If you are NOT nauseated, progress to a normal diet
Normal diet
Drinking large amounts of water is the best prevention for kidney stones.
Drink 8, six ounce glasses of water per day
Drink 3 to 5 quarts of liquids per day. Half of these liquids should consist of water.
No alcoholic beverages
Exclude coffee, tea, or sodas
Maintain a light diet (i.e., toast, clear soup, crackers, etc.)
