Bay Area Renal Stone Center (BARSC) was established in 1986 by urologists. Our fixed facility is located in St. Petersburg, Florida. We also provide mobile service to hospitals, ASCs and urologist’s offices throughout the State of Florida for urologic stones and/or benign prostate treatment.

BARSC is dedicated to the care and treatment of urology patients. Our main goal is to serve our patients with the highest quality care, using the latest technology available, with competency and compassion. We are accredited by JCAHO and AHCA.

BARSC treats patients who suffer from urologic stones with a technology know as shock wave lithotripsy (SWL). BARSC’s state-of-the-art equipment used for SWL includes the HealthTronics LithoDiamond Ultra, the Dornier HM3 Lithotripter, the Dornier Compact Delta, and the HMT LithoTron.

BARSC treats patients who suffer from BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia) of the prostate.


We only use FDA approved technology. One form of treatment is known as TransUrethral Microwave Thermo-therapy (TUMT). The equipment we use for TUMT procedures are the Prolieve, CoreTherm, CoolWave and Targis Systems.	Another FDA approved technology is laser surgery of the prostate. The lasers we provide are the GreenLight PVP, Greenlight HPS, Revolix, and the Holmium 100 watt (HoLAP).
